one of my closest friends jenny moved here in may and i could not be happier. today i sent her this screengrab of my love blane, from pretty in pink...
she replied with adorable keith, from some kind of wonderful...
then hit me with smart, sensitive, bemused lane of better off dead...
so, i had to finish, for now, with the ultimate (sorry blane, i'll explain later) jake, from sixteen candles...who will we sling next?
btw, this was all prompted by a work photo request for andrew mccarthy and an email about a sunday night showing of valley girl
and while we're at it, jenny and i have decided to up-the-old-school-scholastic-anti by embarking on a summer reading list of the secret history, followed by an even older favorite franny and zooey - i believe there is a male-oriented british blog that has suggested the same, based on a convo we had the last time i paid them a visit. let's all read them together.
