yesterday i dropped prudie off at the groomers and when i returned to pick her up they had morphed her into
this was my favorite part - the scarf and hair clip! she looks like aone girl's online diary of the tiny repairs she makes to the broken items that always seem to turn up in her world.
aidan shaw and i were meant to be together! yes, i was watching old eps of 'sex and the city' and an ad came on BEGGING me to take this quiz. i crossed my fingers while they tallyed the results and hoped for the best. sure enough there he was - the man i still get weepy for, even after having watched all of his epidodes at least 20 times - old reliable aidan shaw. i dare you to take the quiz too (and report back).
this is my neighbor's dog, ellie. i'm babysitting her right now while erika is running errands (thankfully, she takes care of my beasts when i'm out of town so i'm more than happy to return the favor). ellie had an accident at the dog park yesterday and had to get stitches. she keeps bumping into everything in my place because, even though my home is big for n.y.c., it's small for l.a.
this picture may not look like anything to you, but it's a picture of my love morrissey that i took from the vip balcony at the palladium last night. whenever i've felt like something was amiss in me musically, i've always believed it was because i never got to see the smiths when i was in high school. well in the last six months i've been fortunate enough to see johnny marr play with modest mouse and last night morrissey in all of his glory and i feel like a new person! bonus points to my friend freddie at live nation who totally hooked us up with the vip stuff. every time i think of the room singing 'the last of the famous international playboys' and morrissey ripping off his shirt and throwing it into the crowd, a giant grin spreads across my face. now if only pavement would reunite...
this is my new friend salvador. i met him in chicago, where i was over the weekend for gillian's bridal shower, when i was stuck in the airport for 6 hours. he's holding what is known there as a hotdog with 'everything'. the everything is: lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, pickles, peppers and onions. i was tempted to order 'a hotdog without the hotdog' as sal recommended but i'd already stuffed my pie hole with deep dish pizza. i like chicago!
even though i was really only there for one full day (both due to airline delays) i really loved gillian's amazing home and amazing neighborhood, wicker park. we spent the day in the park eating and drinking - this is a shot of scott and jess thinking that if they cover the beer bottle with a plastic bag the cops patrolling the area won't take it away. but i quickly learned here that you can walk down the street, and even around the airport, with alcoholic beverages...see, i really like chicago!
finally, as i was leaving nyc at the end of last week, i realized i hadn't taken a single shot of anything while in town, even though i had a great time working and playing (jin sweetly covered one night at the qt hotel for me). so i took a picture of chase bank because it's still my bank and i wish we had branches here in l.a.. oh look at that, the reuters sign is in the shot too. i had no idea their offices were there.
